2021 is the year we're normalizing self-care for men. The past year or two has been incredibly stressful for just about everyone. Taking the time to focus and care for our wellness is not gender specific. It's important for everyone to do. Below are 10 simple self-care tips for men who are ready to take care of their physical, mental and emotional health.
No matter the type of book, reading is a great way to take your mind off of the norm daily stresses. Reading 15-30 minutes before bed may even help you get a better night sleep.

Yard work, artwork, DIY, a new home upgrade... not to be treated as a distraction, but taking on a project can be a great form of self-care. Not only are you taking some time to be with yourself and your thoughts, but accomplishing a special project can help make you feel good.
Just as accomplishing a project helps us feel good, so does accomplishing the goals we set for ourselves. Goals provide direction and give us a sense of personal satisfaction. They of course also help guide us toward our future dreams and aspirations. Be sure to take this self-care tip a bit further by celebrating your success and the goals you've achieved.
It's no secret that a poor sleeping pattern or lack of sleep is directly correlated to depression, stress and anxiety. Getting quality sleep on a daily basis does not mean you are "sleeping your life away". It means you are caring for your health and wellness. Healthy adults need at least 7-9 hours of sleep every night. Sometimes with work and kids this is hard to do. So if you have 20-30 minutes during the day to rest your eyes for a nap, give yourself the rest you deserve.
